Stage DoorStantonbury Campus Theatre launches Stage Door - drama classes for children of all abilities for ages 4-12 years. Stage Door will be a great learning ground for young people, giving them the opportunity to make new friends and gain confidence. Skills in teamwork, turn taking and communication will be developed through drama games, improvisation and story telling, and for the older groups script work. In addition the children will be able to engage and build upon their knowledge of theatre by having guest workshops which will take place during their normal lessons, to help them see other sides of the theatre and how it all works. They will also be able to use the Stantonbury stage itself and become familiar with how a stage can be changed from a bare space to something more magical. Children will acquire and develop theatre skills from acting to stage make-up. In the final term all the classes will have the chance to showcase what they have learned in a specially produced performance at the theatre. It will also be great fun - Saturday mornings will never be the same again! There will be three ten week terms from September 2009 – July 2010 with classes running on Saturday mornings. First Stage: 4-6 years, 9.30am -10.15am (£35 per term*) Centre Stage: 7-9 years, 10.30am-11.30am (£40 per term*) Curtain Call: 10-12 years, 11.45am – 1pm (£45 per term*) For more information on each level and to apply for places on First Stage, Centre Stage and Curtain Call please call the theatre on 01908 324422 or email theatre@stantonbury.org.uk Milton Keynes Whats On Guide Home Page
